22 December History and Importance of the Day

69 – Emperor Vitellius is captured and murdered at the Gemonian stairs in Rome.
1808 – Ludwig van Beethoven conducts and performs in concert at the Theater an der Wien, Vienna, with the premiere of his Fifth Symphony, Sixth Symphony, Fourth Piano Concerto (performed by Beethoven himself) and Choral Fantasy (with Beethoven at the piano).


1849 - The execution of Fyodor Dostoevsky (Author,Russia) was called off at the last second.

1851 - The first freight train was operated in Roorkee, India. The first passengers train was operated between Bombay and Thane later.

1886 - First  National Accountants' Society in US was formed in New York City.

1941 - Japans invasion of  Luzon, Philippines

1944 – World War II: The Vietnam People's Army is formed to resist Japanese occupation of Indochina, now Vietnam.
1947 – The Constituent Assembly of Italy approves the Constitution of Italy post second world war.
1990 – The Croatian Parliament adopts the new Constitution of Croatia.
