1785 - Church of England was organized in New England
1800 - Congress held 1st session in Wash DC in incompleted Capitol building
1831 - Ecuador and Venezuela were separated from Greater Colombia.
1869 - Suez Canal (Egypt) opened linking  Mediterranean & Red seas
1875 - American Theosophical Societywas founded by Madame Blavatsky & Col Olcott
1903 - In the Treaty of Petropolis, Bolivia ceded the territory of Arce to Brazil; Bolivia gained rail and water outlets in the east
 1933 - United States recognized Soviet Union, opens trade
1945 - New world air speed record 606 mph (975 kph) was set by HJ Wilson of RAF
1970 - Douglas Engelbart received the patent for the first computer mouse.
1991 - 1st TV condom ad aired by FOX- TV.
